Start with evidence.
Explore how documents, records, and real-world information can be organized without losing their context or provenance.
Independent research project
Athena is an experimental research effort exploring how artificial intelligence can help organize information, carry out bounded tasks, and make the results easier to verify.
The goal is practical understanding—not claims of artificial general intelligence or a finished commercial product. We investigate what works, what fails, and how human oversight can remain clear as AI systems become more capable.
Research principles
Useful AI should not just produce plausible answers. Its work should be understandable, repeatable where possible, and grounded in observable results.
Explore how documents, records, and real-world information can be organized without losing their context or provenance.
Test practical automated workflows in defined environments, with explicit permissions, checkpoints, and recoverable failures.
Compare reported outcomes with actual records and artifacts, rather than treating a successful-looking response as proof.

About the project
Athena is an evolving, privately operated research and information-management system. It is not offered as a public service, and there is no public account registration or invitation to submit personal data.
Some workflows use Google services under the account holder's explicit authorization. Methods and results are reviewed and revised as the research develops.
Transparency
Athena's research includes private document management and analysis. Google account permissions are granted by the account owner and can be revoked through Google account settings.
When authorized, Athena can access files, folders, content, and metadata; create, update, rename, move, and synchronize documents; and trash or delete files only when explicitly permitted under owner controls.
Athena can read authorized email messages and attachments for indexing, retrieval, and analysis. Its Gmail read-only permission does not allow sending, editing, or deleting messages.
Data may be preserved in private records for canonical history and evidence. Google user data is not sold or used for advertising.
